IIntroduction

The growing demand for physicians in private hospitals, combined with the need to professionalize medical outsourcing, has created challenges related to scalability, quality of care, and workforce management.
Direct involvement in the operational and strategic structuring of a medical staffing company (Grupo MAIS), with a focus on building a robust, scalable, and performance-driven model.

What are the most common challenges?

  • Lack of a formal medical human resources structure

  • Difficulty scaling teams while maintaining quality of care

  • Need to expand hospital service lines

  • Simultaneous management of multiple contracts and specialties

Implementation

The project involved the full structuring of the Medical Human Resources department, including the implementation of standardized hiring and management processes, as well as the development of a proprietary application for intelligent shift scheduling.

A proprietary database with over 5,000 registered physicians was also created, enabling efficient allocation of hospital teams and management of multiple demands simultaneously.

The initiative resulted in organized operational scheduling, the development of a scalable and replicable growth model, and the implementation of an associative model for physicians—aligning productivity, engagement, and operational sustainability.

Results

The engagement led to the structuring of a highly scalable medical operation, capable of supporting growth with efficiency and control. There was a significant expansion of the hospital service portfolio, consolidating the organization as a strategic provider of physicians for multiple healthcare institutions.

Additionally, a replicable operational model was developed, enabling structured regional expansion. The entire process also contributed to mitigating operational, clinical, and legal risks, elevating governance standards and operational security.
